The HTML doc gives an example of settings for hqdn3d Please refer to that doc.

As far as I'm concerned, I think the default values of hqdn3d are a
bit too high. If I remember correctly, the "temporal" value is 6 when
I prefer 4. I also decreased the chroma and luma values a bit.

I have not used nr other than on small tests as I don't use lavc
anymore and only use x264. I did not like the picture quality obtained
with nr, but that's just me. To my mind, nr's main advantage is to be
quite fast. That's all.

Nope, the manual (at least, the one on the CVS version) does mention it.
