[MEncoder-users] playback too fast

Hi! I have got a movie that identifies as a 25fps movie, but when I
use mplayer to show it, it is too fast. I get the correct speed when I
use:

mplayer -fps 12.5 movie.avi

I have tried to reencode the movie using this command:

mencoder movie.avi -ovc copy -oac copy -fps 25 -ofps 12.5 -noskip

But then the result is too slow. Does anyone have an idea what I can
do to fix the movie?
