[MEncoder-users] capture: synchronization problems

thanks for all answers. now i can capture with proper A/V synchronization (the problem
was the version of mencoder) and i have at least two codecs to choose from (mjpeg and
mpeg2; both producing some artifacts and both working perfectly for me).

now i would like to achieve a good quality divx as a target format.

i guess i can use 2-pass encoding - is that recommended?

and i think that especially on vhs material i should use some noise filter first?

can anybody paste here some command lines that i could experiment with?
