No idea about avidemux2, but virtualdub pukes pretty bad on avi files
with vbr audio, and seems to be rather buggy/limited in general. By
the way, latest mencoder should be able to do frame-accurate editing
without reencoding as long as your file is intra-only. And if you want
to reencode it can always do frame-accurate edits.
