Hello all,
While trying to encode some of my DVDs for portability purposes I've
run into problems with a lot of skipped and duplicated frames. I've
Googled and searched the mailing lists a lot and found these two threads
which are both rather old and don't help much although one does explain
more clearly what the messages mean.

http://www1.mplayerhq.hu/pipermail/mplayer-users/2002-February/011076.html
My particular issue starts at around frame 3166 which is the opening
credits which are a series of telecined clips in rapid sequence and the
telecining does not match up between clips as far as I can tell. As you
can see below mencoder changes the framerate which leads to a lot of
skipped frames. Does the framerate really need to be changed? I've
tried using the pullup filter with softskip as the documentation says
but it does not seem to help things at all. I've tried so many things I
can't even think of most of them now :P
Any guidance / suggestions or requests for more information are greatly
appreciated and will be tried as soon as possible.
Thanks,
Jonathan
