[MEncoder-users] How to define DivX version

Mencoder can use divx libraries, however it is not very good way. 
libavcodec with mpeg4 option
produces good, compatible streams. You should look in the archives of 
this maillist for details.
Just try various options and see what happens with your particular 
DVD-player. Such devices
may behave very strange, without model name it's impossible to advice 
any options.
