[MEncoder-users] Real to MPEG4: duplicated frames NO-SPAM

I try to convert a RealVideo movie to MPEG4 for simpler distribution on Linux and PC.
I'm using pre6a on Linux.

The command used is:

vopts="vbitrate=40000:mbd=2:keyint=132:v4mv:vqmin=3:lumi_mask=0.07:dark_mask=0.2:scplx_mask=0.1:tcplx_mask=0.1:naq:trell"

mencoder -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:$vopts:acodec=mp3:abitrate=32 -oac lavc
	 -o sevrstorm.avi sevrstorm.rm

mencoder shows a lot of duplicated frames and the resulting file playback is very jerky,
but audio is ok. The duplicated frames appear also if I don't encode the audio.

There is anything I can do to have a smooth playing movie?
