[MEncoder-users] lavc doesn't work for me

Woah, take it easy... I have no problems with it at all, and I am
not an expert. There are things that are broken, but there are
enough things that work to satisfy the requirements of most real
world situations.

please try without the -vf ivtc, and without the -frames 5000.
Let the encode run until you have about 5 minutes encoded, and
then hit Ctrl-C and view the resulting .avi with mplayer. Then
report back.
