[MEncoder-users] MEncoder MPEG-2 framecopy

Hi,

Using
mencoder -ovc copy -oac copy bla.mpeg -o test.mpg -of mpeg -mpegopts 
format=mpeg2

I get a non-seekable mpeg2 file. MPlayer plays it, but when seeking it jumps 
to EOF (or BOF..) and closes the file.

MPEG1 framecopy works fine, I get a nice seekable MPEG file.

Changing to -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg2video fixes this, I get a seekable 
MPEG2 video.

Is this a bug or an unsolvable limitation?..
