[MEncoder-users] Encode a NTSC film to a PAL vcd

Hi,

I'm trying to put a NTSC film to view on vcd in western europe (PAL, 
Scandinavia).

First thing I did an .avi conversion in 640x360 for the 1.78 aspect and 
-ofps=25. I think I did wrong here with the fps but I realized this.

Then with mencdvd I did

./mencdvd the4400 the4400.avi -noburn

so I could inspect the result before spending time writing the CD. The 
mencvcd script only fits 58 minutes on the 800 megs, then if I start "-ss 
58:00" it's off by two minutes and the sound is a little unsynced when I to 
the next CD.

I'd be happy to show my mencoder line. Does vcd really care about the NTSC 
origin or will I take¨better care of this (telecine, detc, 23.96 fps and 
such)?
