Btw. shouldn't it be possible to take on-the-frame screenshots with
something like (n is the frame number you want)
mplayer -nosound -benchmark -vo png -vf framestep=n
Maybe even add some -frames option so you really get only on picture.
No idea how precise the YUV->RGB colorspace conversion used by MPlayer
is. Does -vo jpeg have a lossless mode?
