[Libav-user] ffprobe internals

Hi,
ffprobe provides framewise information for a video stream including
side_date information.
I am wondering how is it able to do so. When I looked the code, I could see
avcodec_receive_frame(). Does it mean its actually decoding each frame,
only difference is its ignoring decoded data.
