[Libav-user] PTS calculation from timeval

Hi I need help with understanding some basics of PTS calculation.
I have a presentation time of a packet given in struct timeval, how should
I go aobut it to convert it to AVPacket::pts correctly  I assume I need to
use av_rescale* to do it but I don't know how, please help
