Whoops, I guess I was thinking in terms of compiler commandline options, 
so I naturally looked at the section where those are configured.  One 
might even expect to find it in the "Optimization options" section... :) 
  I should have just grepped instead of eyeballing the --help output. 
So it's even easier!
