[Libav-user] Seek and record

Hi
I have a question
Could anyone tell me if it is possible to play back and seek within a file
that is recording.
So
If we have a program that starts captures video and records to disk and at
the same time
want to play the video to screen and (most importantly) seek within that
file.
(jog/shuttle etc).

Is this possible?
Any caveats?
