[Libav-user] Writing .mkv files with libav API

If I write .mkv files with an arbitrary codec (rawvideo, mpeg2video, mpeg4),
then the resulting video is playing very fast in vlc or ffplay. Same code
works using .avi or .mp4. What's the difference?
