[Libav-user] How can we make two NTP-sync computers appears the same while starting playing the same media file at the same time?

Hi folks,

 

I got a problem while synchronizing two computers’ playing.

 

I have two computers of the same hardware and software, and both of them are
sync with a NTP server in the same LAN. Then I wrote a libav program running
on both of them to play the same media file (for example, test.mov) at the
same beginning time(for example, 13:10:05). Internally, a timer is set up to
check the timeout with an interval of 1 second.

 

But unfortunately I found out that the pictures are the same at the very
beginning, but gradually, the pictures start to differ greatly as time went
by.  It’s obviously that one plays fast and the other plays pretty slow.

 

So how to make the two computers play media files with better
synchronization?
