Neil,

I had a similar problem with mpegts over UDP and recompiling libav/ffmpeg
with --disable-pthreads did the trick. I am still receiving errors and the
frames are all pixelated and corrupted, but no segfaulting. Did you have any
luck getting this working end to end?
