[FFmpeg-user] Displaying DV and HDV Date and Time stamp

A valuable info feature is to switch on/off the date and time stamp 
during playback of DV and HDV sections recorded on (h)dv tapes.

Is it possible to preserve and display date and time stamp via ffplay 
playback of dv.dv and hdv.m2t files, and even via ffmpeg conversion to 
DVD and BD Video compliant formats?
