[FFmpeg-user] ffmpeg version differences

Hi,
We are using 'ffmpeg version 2.8.11' library for one of our medical application running on Cent OS (linux) to convert audio/video streams.
We want to migrate to latest ffmpeg version 4.2 on RHEL8 linux platform.
Kindly let us know what are major differences in ffmpeg ver 4.2 and 2.8.11
