That version of ffmpeg is six years old. I suggest trying a newer one
first. If you can't find one for your distribution, try one of the
static binaries from here:
https://johnvansickle.com/ffmpeg/

And kindly report back.

If your image still fails, you (or we) would need to check it, whether
it is actually a valid PNG file.
