Hi, I want to stream from my laptop what I see on my screen to another device on my network live.
The other device can play files from the internet that look like this:
http://portal.geniptv.com:8080/live#/abc1/abc2/19517.ts
I don't know whether it could use other protocols like udp:// or other file extensions but I wouldn't get my hopes up as it's a years old device that can't be updated (without potentially bricking it).
I spent hours yesterday installing different streaming software none of which worked. I am just looking for a simple solution where I might give ffmpeg a command and it would do all I require. I have python installed as well fwiw but don't give me something complicated to do with it.
I found the following page:

and I tried one of the commands there and this was my input/output:
Padraig>ffmpeg -f dshow -i video="screen-capture-recorder":audio="Stereo Mix (IDT High Definition" \ -vcodec libx264 -preset ultrafast -tune zerolatency -r 10 -async 1 -acodec libmp3lame -ab 24k -ar 22050 -bsf:v h264_mp4toannexb \ -maxrate 750k -bufsize 3000k -f mpegts udp://192.168.2.2:48550

This should go without saying but if like me, you have no clue what to do then please don't respond. Also don't question what I am trying to do and say I should be trying to do something else because you'd be wrong. I'm sure I probably don't need to add that here but from past experiences there are lots of people out there like that and I would like to avoid all of that.
Thanks for any constructive help.
