Of course.

Well, if that is so, they change something about the metadata.

I still don't understand *why*.

Nevertheless, if you need to change the stream metadata from "Lavc" to
"Lavf", you can just add "-metadata:s:0=Lavf" as an output option. (I
didn't check with foobar2000.)
