Last time I tested, gcc was just buggy.

Just to clarify:
I am the one developer who tries hardest to silence warnings,
most other developers ignore them and your mails here.
So to help us all: Please send patches to fix the warnings or
report them in a less aggressive way.
(And please remember that nobody of us - and very particularly
the two of us - knows everything about programming, repeat
this whenever you try to explain us how to work on FFmpeg.)
