I don't think 2 pass is needed for constant bitrate - but am in no way
an expert on encoding.

Look at the differences in the params you pasted ....

bufsize 3000k (you) vs 5000k.

possibly omit -tune zerolatency

subme is different - maybe try -preset veryslow

See what it looks like ...

Can you post the master for these?
