No luck with git head of ffmpeg. It behaves the same way even if compiled
without --enable-x11grab.
Anything else we could try?

Hyper fast Audio and Video encoder
Note again that it works on different machine (both are AWS EC2) which is
of different instance type (different HW) but the architecture and OS is
the same. But I had this problem also on my (non-virtual) PC longer time
ago which had different OS (Debian) and different HW.
