[FFmpeg-user] low resource ffserver (not using ffmpeg as the input stream)

Hi there,

I would like to live stream ALSA audio input through ffserver.
Just plain raw ALSA audio... happy to use a pcm format ...

Running on a very low resource embedded system and for that reason 
running ffmpeg (because of linking requirements) is not possible.

Does anyone know of any other really simple approaches to live streaming 
ALSA input through ffserver ?
Looking for information on how to setup the input stream if it isn't ffmpeg.
