I stopped here, because it's where you are wrong.  It doesn't matter one
whit what you think.  It only matters what the people providing free
help on this mailing list think.  They don't want top-posts.

I happen to agree with the policy, but as I have little help to offer,
it doesn't matter what I think, either.

If you look at the archives, you'll see occasional flame wars over this.
None of them change any minds.  But people who insist on top-posting
eventually get ignored by the most helpful people.
