This is not easy to answer (for me).

I still suspect that whoever asks this (it was often 
asked) doesn't understand how open-source development 
works but maybe it's only how FFmpeg development works.

In any case: Patch welcome!

It should also work for vob.

You are responsible for you try to put into mpegts, dvdsub 
is (obviously?) not supported, dvbsub is (or actually: 
should be, please test).
