It probably should, unless there is a mistake somewhere.

Now that you know that one simple command works and one complex one does
not, the task is to trim the complex command and/or extend the simple
command until the exact element that changes from working to non-working is
found. And since this mailing-list is not your hired consultant, this is
your task.
