Thank, I forgot about that - I always managed to install without the
junk.

That said, I have separate clean "containers" for my Wine installs:

$ WINEPREFIX=$HOME/.wine.BT_installer wine GBU521_FW_V12.0.0.9980.exe

I can clean that up with a simple "rm -rf ~/.wine.BT_installer". ;-)
(Yes, waste of space nonetheless.)
