[FFmpeg-user] video accelerator support for Freescale Cortexa8

Hello Expert,
I am doing research about ffmpeg video accelerator support for Cortex A8 (especially for the Freescale). So far what I have read from a certain forum dated 2012 that ffmpeg will support only for Nvidia and Intel video accelerator. I would to know if this is still true today?
I would appreciate for any reply on this query.
