This version is *very* old, and no-one is willing to figure out
potential bugs in 16 month old versions of ffmpeg, when the issue may
already have been fixed.

ffmpeg does give you a very clear recommendation:

Have you tried that?

This is the part I don't know anything about.

Are you sure your stream is not encrypted?
