[FFmpeg-user] YouTube VP9 vids play in VLC, but ffmpeg VP9 vids won't. Why?

I must also mention that although the VP9/WEBM videos from ffmpeg play in
Firefox, there is a green horizontal line at the bottom.  This cannot be due
to the resolution not being divisible by 4 or 8, because it is 640x480.
