 Say, you need just a segment of a video from after the first five
minutes and a half ("00:05:30") for
an hour fifteen minutes and twenty seconds from time 0 (not after
start of desired segment) have passed ("01:15:20")

 How can you do that?

 avconv has just an option for recording duration not time difference
