[FFmpeg-user] version numbering help

How can I determine whether a particular commit is included in a particular version of ffmpeg?  I’m interested in commit 7c3941b25ce0ce74e46658e5e0d36a5ae0a41761.

I don’t really understand the version numbers actually.  I currently have ffmpeg-devel installed through macports, and the command-line shows ffmpeg version 2.2.git-197fe39.  What does that number actually mean?
