[FFmpeg-user] ERROR: x265 not found

I can configure ffmpeg with x265 shared library but with the static library
it does not work:

This command:
LDFLAGS='-L /root/LIB/lib' ./configure --enable-runtime-cpudetect
--disable-debug --disable-shared --enable-gpl --enable-version3
--enable-libx265

Gives:
"ERROR: x265 not found".

I have compiled and installed x265 to that folder properly (I think). Using
Debian 7.4.0-amd64.
