Compared to what?
FFmpeg cannot read the DVD structure, I would expect that 
the dumped mpeg stream should behave like any other file.
(That assumes of course that dvdnav - or MPlayer dvd - 
is able to produce a "perfect" stream which is probably 
not true for all discs.)
