[FFmpeg-user] Image extraction broken with ffmpeg, but not with mencoder. How can I fix this?

Thanks.  I already RTFM.  The drawtext filter writes the timestamp on the
image itself.  That's no good.  Better would be to write those timestamps to
a file, one line per image.
