[FFmpeg-user] Why are there many buffers queued in output stream

Am a new ffmpeg user in MSWindows 7.  Window running in VMWare.
I am presently using the following command which seems to work well in spite
of some error messages that I don't understand:
ffmpeg -y -probesize 100000000 -rtbufsize 1000M -f dshow -r 10000/1001 -i
video="screen-capture-recorder":audio="Headset Microphone (Plantronics" -r
30 -threads 0 test.mkv

When using the above command, I see the following output:
