[FFmpeg-user] Installing on Ubuntu Error: libx264 not found

Hi,

I've been using this guide:
https://ffmpeg.org/trac/ffmpeg/wiki/UbuntuCompilationGuide

I copy and paste the blocks of test and all seems to go well until the
ffmpeg part.  I get this error:

"ERROR: libx264 not found"

Any ideas on what could be going wrong?
