Yes, I think I may have somehow missed the last response from you Carl
Eugen, thanks for bringing it to my attention. I am meeting the ancillary
requirements for ffmpeg using instructions found at
http://www.renevolution.com/how-to-install-ffmpeg-on-mac-os-x/ and
http://ffmpeg.org/trac/ffmpeg/wiki/MacOSXCompilationGuide, but I'm now
building ffmpeg with "./configure --enable-gpl --enable-libfaac
--enable-libfdk-aac --enable-libmp3lame --enable-libopencore-amrnb
--enable-libopencore-amrwb --enable-libspeex --enable-libtheora
--enable-libvorbis --enable-libvpx --enable-x11grab --enable-libx264
--enable-nonfree --enable-version3;sudo make install".

Anyway, even if I have to target audio with a HandBrake pass, use ffmpeg
only for the inverse telecine on the video, then combine output tracks
using MP4Box, I think I may finally be able to abandon MEncoder. Thanks
again.
