[FFmpeg-user] does -vdt option work?

I'm trying to extract images from input file, and some processing power by
only looking at keyframes, using the -vdt:v 32 option

however I'm seeing that these two command lines take exactly the same time
and output exactly the same frames.

am I doing something wrong?

ffmpeg -vdt:v 32 -i espn.ts -vf fps=1 espn_%09d.jpg
  vs
ffmpeg -i espn.ts -vf fps=1 espn_%09d.jpg

attached is uncut output
