Yes in the README file in the same directory.

In general the examples user is expected to have some familiarity with
the building process and the usual Linux/Unix conventions and with
some of its subtleties, which are not specific of FFmpeg. These days
people tend to have several installations of FFmpeg in the same system
and in different locations, and selecting the right one is usually
confusing to the unexperienced user.
