[FFmpeg-user] Strange? output from configure

Hello,
when configuring ffmpeg (1.2 or 2.0) I pass --arch=core2 to configure 
and in the output I get "3DNow! enabled   yes" and "3DNow! extended 
enabled   yes" as well. This is confusing as the Intel Core2 is not 
capable of 3DNow! (verified by /proc/cpuinfo).

Can someone please point me in the right direction.
