[FFmpeg-user] mpeg2 half pixel and partitioning parameter

Hi,
I heard there are some differences between mpeg1 and mpeg2,  what 
concerns analysis. Someof them should be that mpeg2 supports half pixel 
motion estimation and 16x8 partitions.

When I use subq 0,1 or 2 I don't get any different results. Which is the 
right parameter?

Is the different partitioning only relevant for interlaced material?
