[FFmpeg-user] pix_fmt gray problem with pnm encoder

Hi,

I'm grabbing video from a grayscale video camera using an EasyCap
DC-60 USB adapter and ffmpeg. The data is encoded into a stream of pnm
still frames. By default these are in the P6 format and hence are
24bit RGB. Since the input is grayscale I have tried using -pix_fmt
gray to convert it to 8bit grayscale (P5), but I can not get this to
work.

Any clues as to why this does not work?
