[FFmpeg-user] -vf lutyuv=y=gammaval(0.5) Crashes ffmpeg

Hi there

The subject line pretty much says it all. That command was taken 
straight out of the ffmpeg documentation... wierd thing is the command:
-vf lutrgb='g=0:b=0'
works perfectly... which is also out of the documentation under the same 
section.

Any ideas why this is happening or how the gammaval should be inputted 
please?
