Hi there,

I think your only option is take a look at the select filter.

http://ffmpeg.org/libavfilter.html#showinfo

If you just want the showinfo output, an example invocation could be:

ffmpeg -i *infile* -filter:v showinfo -f h264 - -an > /dev/null
