[FFmpeg-user] Use of "amerge" filter

The sample in the docs for the amerge filter is somewhat terse, and only
provides an example of merging two streams from separate files into one
dual channel stream.

In an earlier thread about merging 2 mono streams in a single file into
a single stereo stream, it was suggested that using a filter was a
better approach than extending the capabilities of the "map_channel"
option of ffmpeg and did not preclude ffmpeg making use of the filter
internally but presenting its use in a manner consistent with the
current map_channel feature.

The question now we have the filter is, how to achieve the required mapping.

Once I am clear myself I am happy to submit a patch to improve the
documentation.
